Annette's Story
I grew up all over the world as part of a proud Air Force family, which taught me the value of service from an early age. That sense of civic duty runs deep in my roots—my grandfather served on the city council of his small Utah town, a role that made a lasting impression on me. My grandmother also ran for city council and even passed down some of her old campaign materials to inspire my own journey.
I came to Utah to attend Brigham Young University, later earning a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Utah. While there, I focused my research on healthy government budgeting through work with The Volcker Alliance. Today, I work in Utah’s dynamic and growing biotech industry.
In 2015, my husband, Evan, and I bought a home in West Jordan because we loved the community—and that love has only grown. We now raise our two young boys, Ryan and Clarke, here and enjoy the city’s parks, strong infrastructure, and thoughtful city planning. I'm running for city council to help keep West Jordan moving in the right direction, so more families can enjoy everything the city has to offer.
